I'll overwhelm 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
